Control and storage of the grain

The mill buys grain from over 60 co-operatives crediting them with fertilizers and diesel oil. Qualified laboratory assistants classify the grain by the following characteristics:

  • Gluten content
  • Widening
  • Moisture
  • Thickness
  • Amylase activity

After having been analyzed, the grain is directed to the silos. The silos were supplied by the U.S. Company GSI, and are coated by a zinc alloy, actively ventilated and the grain temperature can be measured at seven levels. Their storage capacity totals 18,000 tons of grain.
